Dr.London established an ethnographic research site in 2011 in the Amazon rain forest in Napo Valley Ecuador to study the relationship between diet and health and preserve one of last isolated full-time hunter-gathering groups left in Ecuador, the Waorani.

Last Look Back Project is directed by our lead researcher, Dr. Douglas London, a medical anthropologist with a clinical and public health background. Since 2010, he has lived with remote hunter-gatherer groups to study their way of life and still existing Waorani "Paleo Diet".

Dr. London’s work is influenced by a decade and a half of clinical experiences as director of health and nutrition programs for indigenous people with Harvard Medical School in Latin America and the United Nations in Africa.
